Jim Humble’s Sanity

Holla,
That’s not a misspelling of hola, the spanish greeting for hello, but holla. Whatever.
Anyway, I’ve not blogged in a while, so thought this would be the perfect time.

Like me, I’m sure a number of you question Jim Humble’s sanity, especially after reading/listening to his book, the Miracle Mineral Solution of the 21st Century.
Jim has just published a poem for our benefit, called “Written in the Sands of time”.
As I do not wish to impose any of my views on you, I have reproduced it here for you to make your own mind up as to whether this is beneficial to his image or not.

Written in the Sands of time

A thousand centuries and a million years
The lone planet circled without fears
While time in interplanetary space
Continued its eternal pace
And there was no one to echo its cheers

A million years passed without change
There was no one to consider it strange
That a planet nearest the Sun
In History would never be out done
Earth’s story would be long-range

Thousands of Gods, you see
Knew that man needs to be free
The lone planet was moved
To be the third planet and approved
And was set in eternity

The gods’ agreement had much worth
Meet at the third millennium on earth
Now they have come to help man
To overcome evil as they can
It is our job since birth

Finally, the sands of time
Bring a mission sublime
The sands proclaim a time to come
When men shall have their freedom
Our church heralds the beginning chime

The story of the past
In memory does not last
It is not for men to see
It would not help them be
To know what was cast

Each man returns in short a space
To have a game and take his place
To love and live again
And work with other men
And be with the human race

Each time he does not see
He is cast in eternity
The times before
Are now no more
And can no longer be

It is best to know
As through time we go
That we are here
And that is clear
It’s for us to grow

The past is gone
Like the night at dawn
It does not exist
It should not be missed
Do not carry it on

But we can see
Back into eternity
Before this life
And the eons of strife
We knew you and me

We have worked and lived in the Sun
The centuries of time have been fun
We have been free
The centuries to see
Many a battle we have won

But we have walked the centuries alone
Where the sands of time have blown
The things that were there
We could not share
For only we have known

Those that were there
We remember with care
Often we feel we know
Those from a million years ago
We wished we could share

While other men do play
And live and love and pray
They build their cities high
And proud against the sky
We dream of another day

We have known that we must find
An answer to the mind
It is there for us to see
If we are willing to be free
We have searched for the sign

The Story of the past
A billion years has cast
Only we can see
A plan to set men free
Has returned to us at last

Before the pyramids were along the Nile
Before Atlantis was in style
A plan was devised
By those who were wise
And we have known it all the while

But we have walked the centuries alone
Where the sands of time have blown
Why we are here
To us it is clear
But only we have known

When our friends have gone
And we must carry on
Memories in their mind
Fade away we find
Like ripples on a pond

When we lose a friend
And we feel we’ve reached the end
Memories in our mind
Are very nice we find
For we will know him again

It is nice for us to know
That anywhere we go
When we are on our own
We are seldom left alone
It comes from long ago
There has been a plan
That was created by a man
Many eons in the past
It was written so to last
It is written in the sand

Now that plan has come to be
It comes from eternity
It’s time for man to find
An answer to his mind
It’s time to set him free

That’s why we’ve walked the centuries alone
Where the sands of time have blown
Guardian of a plan
We must do what we can
It’s time to make it known

The time is right
To come out of night
With a plan to set us free
Many years it will be
Yet the truth shall give us might

And into the future we shall go
Where the sands of time must blow
When we meet you again
That you are our friend
Then we all shall know

When that time comes, my friend
And you and I have changed the end
Then earth will exist for you and me
In peace and love and tranquility
On that we can depend

Finally, on the edge of Galactic space
Will rest a planet without disgrace
Because a billion years in the past
Men dreamed of a peace that would last
For all the human race

Ummm… yeah…

Seems to me like Jim has chosen a number of words that just string together so that he can have an AABBA style poem.

A lot of it seems to be the same old spiel repeated, but in various different orders.

I feel sorry for Jim.

fish oil may be of use wiht IBS and chrons and also is very good for the brain

i hope i don’t have to explain this is volunteer work and not advertising !

      IBS is nothing like Crohn’s.
      Your ignorance speaks volumes.
      Yes, it is advertising.

i think you are reacting because you know that the long term prognosis of the medical only route only for chrons is very poor and that’s certainly my observation over a few years now

when you blinker yourself who are you hurting except yourself ?

all this supposed “it has to be scientific” is a sham because you can’t read or understand scientific literature which is what the BCD pages are full of, maybe that frightened you

i don’t think you are going to take on board what i am saying but at least learn to handle what you disagree with in an equitable manner

if i reject something, i read it a bit first and usually can highlight the error and say what it is in specific terms not generalities like “its unscientific” which is pretty meaningless

you are just flinging an attitude around to pretty limited applause and the only one being hurt is you !

you are not being asked to go on the scd or bcd diet, you expressed an intial interest and i responded

your behavior is not actually very good, but i am sympathetic because i know what these biofilm conditions are like from experience, they really narrow lifes compass

all you are telling anyone is they are a fool to even be slightly concerned about you

at this point i think i have heard what you are saying

    : o )

    Hi Rhys

i just came across your name in connection with chrons and apparently you have
some sort of reputation in the skeptical community!

in my experience skepticism is a religion by another name and that religion is
medicine, the alternative medicine scene is crazy, but in all honesty i would
not say crazier than the medical gastroenterological scene !

there are “scientific” alternatives in the form of the specific carbohydrate
diet and the newer biofilm carbohydrate diet with useful modern and
scientifically based supplements like houston enzymes

the biofilm carbohydrate diet is linked to in my name and there is a message
    board

    http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/who_knows/

all i can say is i was developing chrons/IBS and have avoided that with this
    approach !

i am not familar with MMS ( Miracle Mineral Solution ) and doubt it’s very
effective, but one of its modes of action may be a s a simple disinfectant, that
is , somewhat reduces malign stomach biofilm which is a central issue of chrons

ultimately skepticism is a rational mindset that looks at results

if you not motivated to check the scd and bcd approach to bowel isues and are
content to rest in the sinister arms of gastroenterology you might like to
research the operations you may well need to be having at sometime in the future
    !

      Hello there,
I’d just like to point out that I am in remission.
I will not be using any unscientific diets, especially not the Specific Carbohydrate Diet nor any biofilm version.
I’d also like to point out that you very obviously do not understand what skepticism is.
Skepticism is application of critical thinking. It means I require actual evidence for something before I accept it as true.
Please explain how that is like a religious doctrine.
Skepticism, believe it or not, isn’t limited to medicine. It extends to the paranormal, UFOlogy etc. etc.
I don’t understand this “biofilm” that you are referring to. Could you perhaps expand on this theory?
Also, simply using something that is supposedly scientifically proven to have an effect doesn’t make it scientific.
You have to use it the way it is proven to have an effect.
If you’d kindly respond to my requests for information, then we can continue talking.

well its like atheism, the definition is the denial of god but the practical reality is the worship of the human race !

        any ism makes me run!

        there

        are

        those

that talk about the application of critical thinking and those who actually think critically

you haven’t looked at the links i gave, however here is a specific page on biofilm

        http://mueller_ranges.tripod.com/links/compendium/biofilms.html

you can read, the info is there, you are the only beneficary of getting this right so you have to do the work !

i doubt that you will ! ways part i guess !

you can quixotically tilt at the MMS windmills for the rest of your life !

        • chris January 7, 2011 at 8:47 pm #

You’re not wrong in suggesting he’d have to do work… That page looks like it was designed expressly to prevent anybody from ever reading its contents.

          • Andrew January 7, 2011 at 8:55 pm #

i’d have to create a special “lite” version and i just don’t have the time or resources

it is demanding of reading age, but the benefits are there for you if you are prepared to take it seriously !

            the main practical pages are

What you don’t seem to realise is that:

          • Your website is HORRIBLY set out like Timecube making it near impossible to read
          • I am not going to and WILL not go on the SCD diet. It’s pseudoscientific with zero credible evidence supporting it
          • Your promotion of supplements will get you nowhere on my blog
  • Martin (chunkylimey) January 8, 2011 at 11:22 am #

Curious Atheism the worship of humanity? You prefer the worship of things you can’t see? I suggest the Flying Spaghetti Monster. His noodly greatness can be seen on YouTube and although you clearly aren’t enlightened enough to see him his power far more obvious than those nonsense fairy tales from the Middle East (especially that Jesus crap).

  • Rhys Morgan January 5, 2011 at 12:21 am #

    I know, right.
    I’m thinking about rapping it.
Would that make it worth it?

    • mms is a scam January 5, 2011 at 12:31 am #

I have re-written the first verse.

A thousand centuries and a million years
The lone planet circled without fears
      While time in interplanetary space
      Continued its eternal pace
And then Jim Humble came along and shoved a scam in our face.

  • Marianne January 5, 2011 at 12:03 am #

I got bored about halfway through, it’s all the same nothing-ness :/

  • mms is a scam January 4, 2011 at 11:36 pm #

He should put it to music — it could be his new cult anthem.

Tis proof that MMS causes brain damage.
